A key feature of RapidReader PRO is its ability to open PDFs directly so you can start reading straight away; you don't even have to open Adobe Acrobat.
RapidReader PRO uses an artificial intelligence engine to analyze PDFs and extract the text, then import it into RapidReader. All the page numbers are the same for both RapidReader and the original PDF for easy reference between documents.
There are two ways to open a PDF into RapidReader PRO: drag and drop or from the File menu.
Drag and Drop
- Drag and drop the PDF's icon onto the RapidReader desktop icon.
- RapidReader PRO analyzes the PDF, converts the text, and opens it in RapidReader.
- Double click on any word to begin rapid reading.
File menu
- In RapidReader PRO on the File menu click Open and locate and open the PDF.
- RapidReader PRO analyzes the PDF, converts the text, and opens it in RapidReader.

Other features to use with PDFs
Use dog-ears with your PDF files to mark where there is a graphic referred to in the PDF text. When you save the PDF as a RapidReader file it will keep your markup. You can use the dog-ears to locate the items in the original PDF for review. For more details, see Reviewing images in PDF files.
